Apple reveals CarPlay at Geneva 2014

Apple has announced it will reveal its new in-car iPhone system at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show this week. CarPlay is integrated into the car’s infotainment system and uses Siri to receive voice commands from the driver – such as playing music, dictating text messages or making phone calls. Camaro, Sonic fill the Chevrolet stand at SEMA

Custom Camaro and Sonic models lead the way at the Chevroletstand at SEMA this year, with a green electroluminescent Hot Wheels Camaro leading the pack. The paint on the Hot Wheels car was not actually plugged in to an electrical source to make it glow so bright, but it sure seemed like it was. The idea was to get the same metallic finish that shined on the first 1:64 scale Hot Wheels Camaro, one of the original 16 die-casts that debuted from Mattel in 1968.

Cadillac to update logo?

Cadillac is working on the first major change to its logo in more than a decade, pruning away the classic laurel wreaths that surround its crest, several sources told Automotive News. The modified emblem is likely to appear on a concept vehicle that Cadillac plans to show next month at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in California. The redesigned badge would appear on production cars no earlier than the 2015 model year, and the plans could change, the sources said.
